Sacandaga Folk Fest | WBtV

Sacandaga Folk Fest

A summer festival of music, workshops, ateliers, summer activities and more. The festival is always held during the first full week of August.

Festival Grounds

The festival has a main stage and five smaller stages with scheduled programs. The main stage has the biggest acts and when an act is playing there, the other stages have no program. They are used to fill in the program between the main acts and provide programming for most of the day, while the main stage only runs late in the evening and into the night.   The rest of the festival grounds features a vast camping ground, many food and drink stands, permanent sanitary installations, activity tents, various sports fields and spaces for other activities.

Sponsorship

The biggest sponsor for this festival is the Adirondack Park Alliance. They see this festival as a great place to make connections between the many factions, as young supernaturals from all factions come together to have a good time.

History

It is now a massive commercial event with tens of thousands of attendees.   In response to this commercial success many smaller festivals started to pop up in the surrounding areas.

Past Acts

The main acts are still supernatural, but humans can perform as well. The biggest act so far was Taylor Swift in 2019, which led to the biggest crowd in the histor
