Northeastern Adirondack Dwellers

This cultural group was formed in fairly recent times as they share the suppression of their communities by the Five Ponds Nation. This suppression ended with the Second Adirondack War as the West Canda Nation intevened in their favour as a condition to found the Adirondack Park Alliance. They were all moved to a small village called Oven Lake, named after the lake it was located at. Officially the Five Ponds Nation did this in order to give these disparate communities a home and a better live, but in reality they put them all together in order to control and exploit them.   These dwellers are spread across 27 different clans and communities that each had their own traditions, dialect or language and culture. The majority were Gahongas, followed by five clans of Ohdows and one community of the Gandayah.   The Five Ponds Nation forced them to all move into a single settlment for them to better control these Jogah. They were forced to pay tribute to the Five Ponds Nation in the form of food and even human money.     They adapted quickly to this new situation and developed shared traditions and rituals that they could perform more easily in secret. A s they were all mixed together, often on purpose, they often mixed together these traditions from their original cultural traditions.   These Jogah formed the Northeastern Adirondack Cooperative once they got free and joined the Alliance. Not every member is happy that they are now together in a an organization with their oppressors, but most agree that revenge isn't possible. Still they continue to fight for some justice by trying to put at least some of the werewolves directly responsible for their suffering on trial. These efforts are ongoing within the Alliance and are a recurring topic on the agenda of the High Council.   So far there have been three trials. One where a number of guards were sentenced to prison as they were responsible for abuse. The other two trials were against two Five Ponds individuals that were in charge at the settlement. Their cruelty was great, which they hid from the rest of the nation.
