Blood ties can be a powerful bond, cherished, sacred, or otherwise important to those who value them. Clans and other lineage-based communities and societies place much of their trust in these types of relationships.
A ritual blood bond can be as strong or stronger than being born into the same family. This bond is created by a ritual designed to bind two individuals together. This is done to create a long lasting relationship that is not easily broken. In a supernatural sense, this can create a true connection that allows these individuals to share blessings or powers associated with a particular family or bloodline.

Sorcery & Alchemy

Blood can be a powerful component for magical rituals and alchemy. The blood required for a ritual usually comes from a specific species, or in some cases, a specific individual. Sometimes the caster of a spell must use their own blood as a component to complete the ritual.

A sinister form of curse that uses a bloodline as its target. This means that every descendant of the original target will carry the curse with them. It is a powerful tool used as a severe punishment. Most people consider this type of curse to be unethical, and its use is illegal in most jurisdictions around the world. The Hunters Guild forbids the use of blood curses and punishes any violation with life imprisonment.
