The most basic unit deployed by APU Security. The detail describes a small to medium-sized team made up of two to forty agents. These teams are trained in protecting a person, vehicle, location or event from any type of danger.   Each team is further specialized in the threats they protect against. The specialization comes from the experiences and missions the teams go on. These specializations shift as team members join or leave a team.   A chief of operations assigns the teams to missions. A support and a logistics unit assists in their tasks.

Training & Recruitment

All agents of the details are highly trained specialists. Many of them are recruited as veterans from military and paramilitary organizations. Sometimes talented individuals, when scouted, can be recruited without experience. These untrained recruits are then added to larger teams first where they build up experience. All members spend time regularly to train and keep in shape. There is a regular review to ensure that each agent is up to the demanding tasks faced by the security details.

Equipment

The most basic equipment includes a suit, light kevlar body armour, a handgun and communications hardware. This basic kit is enough for many basic missions. More specialized gear comes into play when the mission has special parameters or the agents have special skills that require different gear. The standard kit can be expanded with many types of melee weapons, guns, magical charms, support items, heavy armour and more. Some agents take their personalized kit on every mission, while others do not customize their gear much.

Tactics & Strategies

The details learn and train in a number of standard tactics for each mission type. These tactics dictate best practices and include procedure on how to react in many threat scenarios. However, these standard tactics can never cover all eventualities. This is where the experience and personal skills of the team leaders and all agents come in. All agents can quickly adapt to any new situation and use their knowledge, training and experience to overcome any kind of threat.

Logistics & Support

Our security details are supported by the best anaylists and logistics specialists the market has to offer. This ensure that every team can be deployed anywhere in the world and at a moments notice.

Each security team has a dedicated logistics and support unit assigned to them. Multiple logistics and support units are required when the team is on a long-term or large-scale mission. These units operate independently of the detail and have many responsibilities.   The logistics unit ensures that the equipment for the unit is maintained and on location on time. They provide vehicles when necessary, safe houses, needed supplies like water, food and hygiene products. These teams know how to procure, transport and deliver everything efficiently, in high quality and exactly when needed.   The support units are analysts who watch satellite feeds, intelligence chatter, news, social media and other channels to give the details all the information needed on potential treats and dangers. They are also responsible to create reports on the mission targets and potential threats before the mission starts and then updating them as the mission progresses.
