Riki Erik

Located between Heynland and Marsir Eyjariki is the small island nation of Riki Erik. Founded by the adventurer Erik Longneck in 122 PD. He had explored the entire island uncovering all its mysteries and saved the populous from a necromancer. 

He then founded a jarldom after the villages on the island agreed he should be jarl. He does not take a higher title as he feels that his lack of high birth and the size of his lands do not put him at the rank of king. He is a odd jarl who often goes out and fixes problems himself. If a wright begins raising corpses and creating a army he goes out and slays it himself.

The island has a small populous and small industry. The main resource is fish taken from the channel. The island has trade deals with both Heynland and Marsir Eyjariki for other goods. Erik has also launched a few raids personally gathering great loot. Easy feat when a high level ex-adventurer is leading the force.

Overall its a small but interesting jarldom.

Trivia

• Erik has taken a necromancer's old castle as his hall.
• A few intelligent undead still remain on the island. Erik has ruled that they are to be considered full citizens.
• His housecarl is Bemound the Blighted, a wight that helped him defeat the necromancer that ruled the island.
