It's a soothing place...though, the owner's friend is a little bit creepy. No...not in that way. He just seems a bit off.

Dana's Yarn Emporium is a yarn store located in the third level of the Monochrome section of The Station.
The store is located in a small commercial area in a largely residential zone across from a Police Box and a 2 minute walk from a section with 5 different food stalls. The store rests between a clothing boutique and a tea shop where exquisite and exotic tea boxes and cups are sold.

The building

The building has two floors that are 6x5 meters each, excluding the elevator and bathrooms. The lower floor is the store, and the top floor is the employee and stock rooms.
There are two small bathrooms on the lower floor with a toilet, sink, and trashcan. The bathrooms are 2x2m each, and such is the elevator is as well. This elevator is only operable by the owner, Dana, and the store's five employees. The top floor has one large bathroom connected to the employee room that is 2x3m, and the rest is the stock room.

The store

In the middle of the store is a long table with chairs where visitors can sit down, have a cup of tea, look in yarn books, or knit. Around the walls from the floor to the ceiling are cases full of yarns and other items related to knitting and crocheting. A store attendant sits knitting in a corner of the store or is sorting the wares, and they are happy to help customers with questions, cups of tea or other things. Like with all commercial operations on The Station the customers pay their purchases with their Modis before leaving the building.

Origin

Dana opened this store around 10 years ago with the money they got when one of their grandparents passed away. The building used to be a restaurant, but it closed 104 years ago because of a supposed food poisoning that affected many people.
During the 94 years that the building was closed, there were rumors that the building was haunted. Young kids used to run past the building. These rumors have still stuck around but are not as prevalent as they used to be.

Opening hours

The store is open from 8am to 10pm during the weekdays and 11am to 6pm during the weekends. The site is open all the time and it's possible to order. Pickups are only possible during opening hours. While many commercial stores in The Station have several shipping times a day, Dana's Yarn Emporium only ships orders at 4pm every day.

Employees

The store employs five people. Three of them work full time and the other two work part-time. Linri and Tamyrai have worked at the store since Dana opened it 10 years ago and Linri is the manager of the store.
As explained in the article on Time, there are seven days in a week.

Dana is the owner of the store and the building. They stop by to help out when they have the time, usually during weekdays. One of their friends, Lex, usually comes along. The both of them appear joined at the hip.

Linri, the manager of the store, work day 1 to day 5 during 10:30 am - 6:30 pm. The manager does paperwork, manager work, as well as packs and ships orders.

Tamyrai work 7:30 am - 3:30 pm during day 1 to day 5. This is full-time hours. As mentioned earlier, they have worked at this store since it opened.

Rikeiroi is a new hire just out of collage. They were supposed to become a Trailblazer, but they did not manage to finish the testing. They work 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm.

Flis & Rion work hours. They are scheduled to work every other weekend and are called in by the manager or the owner if any of the other employees are sick or have vacation. Both of them are college students.
