The Between
The between is an endless darkness that is impossibly bright. It's so cold that your soul will freeze, but your body remains alive. There are thought to be pockets of life and glimpses of other worlds in the darkness. Places where one might exist and or unwittingly thrown to.
But there is a danger there of staying too long and freezing. Once frozen in the plane you may not come out where, or even when, you had desired. Sometimes waiting decades to be released and thinking no time has passed at all, sometimes ending up on other worlds. Some who've returned even speak of being forced to join tea parties with beings beyond description, thought these memories rarely last and are often chalked up to teleportation sickness.
