Fuarain cluaran Settlement in Ædeos | World Anvil

Fuarain cluaran

The hot springs are great for the stressed body and soul. To each, their own game. I hear, even children can find it amusing.
— A Gáláwan about Fuarain cluaran

Summary

It is not entirely clear as to which buildings belong to the settlement as there was never a formal document. At one point one some people of the Fuarain village, situated near the hot springs agreed to guest travellers and aid them with further journeys. Over time, more villagers took their example and Fuarain became an obligatory stop when travelling towards the Gáláwá mountains.

The settlement was frequented by such famous people as Llawenaid the Seeress, Cluaran the Sudden or Scathach, the Cymrian Flame. It was around the times of Llawenaid, that the place became a spot for those, who sought romantic love. The Seeress had a habit for seduction using her skills as the Tameress of Æter, through which she could see the near future of the person she found attractive. The local folk have made a couple of tales of their own to cover the events with a veil of drama, romance, even tragedy. And it works. Every year, people travel from all around Saveni to sink deep in warmth, peacefulness and love.

There are several other leisure spots, like the famous Fìon sìtheil, which are often clumped into Fuarain cluaran but usually that is arbitrary and pretty much one-sided.

Origin of the name

The name refers to how the settlement came to be — rather unplanned, unexpected and in a place initially quite desolated. However as is with the cluaran — a prickly flower growing in Gáláwá, it grew to become attractive, as the cluaran attracts the bees in summer.

Attractions

The hot springs are definitely the most recognizable mark of the Fuarain cluaran. Depending on the reason for visit, however, they could be very different. For example, some places offer an intimate room, which would be connected to a small pond, but others, more common, would have a larger shared pond, with the rooms on the edge. The latter would be often used by those who fancy meeting new people and mostly in a pretty informal way.
