Unda Tenebris

Known as the People of the Dark Water, Unda Tenebris is a term used for Umbra and Shadow Humans who relied on the Shadow Waters to connect with the God of Darkness rather than the moon. This is because they believe the moon betrays the main concept of darkness itself as well as water grants power by drinking it from the lakes and oceans of the Dark Realm.   Due to this belief, many followers lived near oceans and lakes and rely mostly on speed and power in terms of combat. However, the subculture's public reception is mixed due to the health risk if consumed too much of the purified Shadow Water.

Common Dress code

True to their name, most of the Unda Tenebris people wear light clothing with shades of dark blue to represent the color of the water itself such as sleeveless shirts or crop tops, shorts or skirts, sundresses, sandals, and flip-flops. When visiting colder climates, they simply wear dark blue coats over their clothes and shoes specifically made for snow.   Adults are also known to wear a piece of single jewelry made of Spectral Coral as a symbol of their Unda culture.

Coming of Age Rites

When a young Umbra turns 50 or a Shadow Human turns 20, they performed a special rite that requires them to not only dive into the Shadow Waters and search for the Spectral Coral in under 40 minutes. If they succeed, they are considered as adults and remade the corals into their desired jewelry that they will wear for the rest of their lives.

Common Taboos

Due to their beliefs, walking under the moonlight and hiding their Spectral Coral in public or choosing not to wear them is considered as a betrayal of the Unda Tenebris itself.   If they violate any of the taboos, they are exiled and must fend of themselves outside the Unda Tenebris settlements.
