King Pakalos as he appeared prior to his ill-fated journey to Dalra, wearing a cotton linothorax adorned with feathers and an ouroboros plate, a helmet featuring serpent and centipede imagery and a snakeskin belt, wielding a serrated sword commonly used throughout Laxilþía, and a shield covered with pardus skin. The spots painted on his arms, imitating those on pardi, served as apotropaic device.
