The jorps are famous for their skilled sculptors, whose specialty is to sculpt near perfect spheres out of various kinds of stone for religious purposes. Different types of stone represent different deities, the ones depicted here for example are associated with the healing god Húflóas (marble), smithing god Gmalteilas (granite) and Erklú the fertility goddess (jade).
