I’m scared. I had a nightmare. You were dead. You were pregnant and I didn’t know it. Our child, it became a botchling. I had to kill her. It still wasn’t enough. Elaine. If something has happened to you. I don’t know what I’d do. I’d truly be lost. Please be okay. I cling to this journal you gave me now more than ever. That’s just jitters. I know it.
