The wind through your hair, and feeling it rush against your skin is a feeling that nearly every person loves, there are none who love it more than Morrigan Durandel Maygal Wheathersbey. It is very lucky for her that speed was such a natural thing for her, coming as natural as breathing. Even at a young age she covered the span of the endless plains of the Grey Wastes in minutes, leaving her family with the difficult task of catching her. She loved moving fast, it brought her a special joy that gave her even more boundless energy. Speeding through cities and valleys could keep her happy, Morrigan gained an even deeper happiness as she combined her speed with combat. Running straight to an enemy with the breeze sailing against her cheeks and whistling through her floppy ears. Even learning she could run so incredibly fast that walls and ceilings could be scaled as easy as the ground, filled her with exstacy.
Living a privledged life of rushing head first into the fray and making it to the stronger enemies first. It was exhilarating to feel the breeze and have fun sparring with strong opponents, and then getting yelled at, because she was supposed to finish off the enemy. A young woman of simple joys and delights, the serene feeling of wind through her hair as she sped faster than most and fighting. These simple joys were brought to a devastating stand still.
What was to be a battle to free Anaxa's sister from her delusions and prison, turned into a challenge to Morrigan's main battle "tactics." What sort of terrible world would take away the simple joys of a young woman? The world of Gaia! That's what! Speeding toward Euryale to "help" her and free her mind of thoughts of Drake with kicks to the face, grabbing Anaxa and making a B line forward, a statue struck the martial artist and stopped her dead in her tracks. The stone weapon sending a concussive blow straight to her legs. What horrible madness, she had to rethink her strategy, so she attempted to run along the walls and ceilings....but it seems the gods anticipated such an action and she was thwarted once again.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves.
Thoughts come from the head, so Morrigan thought if she could just get a few good shots to Euryale's head, then she might keep her man's name out of her mouth. Before arriving here Anaxa's sister announced her plans to acquire the men of the hive, especially Drake. The only thing that paused Morrigan's rage was Anaxa relaying the image of Drake on all fours in some elaborate and revealing outfit. The kernel of rage Morrigan felt in her heart was striking and unfamiliar. Each time someone else showed interest it did something to her, he was hers. This Euryale, even though Anaxa's sister and therefore being Orri's sister, needed a wake up call to who Drake belonged to.
There she was, a pale looking woman with bright red eyes, nope, there was Drake. He stood there with his beautiful smile and large arms swinging his blade. Morrigan grew excited to see him and joined in to their usual morning exercise, the odd temple must have been the dream. All that stuff with the giant mouth and Euryale seemed unimportant, a dream or some such. Drake stood tall and invited her to come closer, Orri's heart fluttered still at the sight of his smile. Morrigan stepped forward and felt an odd twinge in her stomach, she could have sworn she smelled her mom's perfume, and Edea's music. "That's weird..." Drake narrowed his eyes, "Did you really think I would love someone as weak as you?!" The words hit her like a ton of bricks and she stepped back worried and confused, "No...." She felt a familiar hand on her shoulder and a whisper, "Drake would never say such a thing." Orri calms slightly as Edea's music got louder, "Yeah..my Drake would never say that!!" As she yelled that to herself she opened her eyes and saw nothing but white snakes all over her. Brushing off the dozens of snakes, not an uncommon occurance in her life, and shaking her head completely confused on what happened or what was real for a few seconds.
A cozy lit room with a woman sitting in front of a powerful spell suspended in the air showing a scene with Morrigan covered in snakes. The smiling Ereskegal sighed with relief, closing her eyes and getting startled by another voice, "What happened to letting our daughter figure all this out on her own?" placing a hand on Ereskagal's shoulder, "Mayvin...darling....you're "gift" to her is an asset, but....you know our sweet little simple girl would never make it out of an illusion by herself! I just gave her a small push AND her little bard friend Edea was there to help as well, she will get the credit. Remind me to give her some kind of boon." Ereskagal smiles at Mayvin who looks at her sternly at first, but soon begins to soften at her loves smile, "Yes, alright, as long as she can fight she will be ok with all those weird statue enemies." Mayvin chuckles, "As long as none of them have that Sentinel technique, things will work out."
Brushing the snakes off of her, her eyes locked on Euryale mumbling to herself, "Drake would never, my love would never say that." Anaxa hears her big sis mumbling and is about to comment how impressed she was that Morrigan of all people escaped the illusion. She would have bet all the drachma in Meria that Orri would fall to even a minor illusion of a cupcake or something. Maybe her mothers gave her some kind of help, knowing full well...Anaxa shook her head not wanting to think about the afterlife, when Orri grabs Anaxa's armor and suddenly speeds forward with her in toe, the air flowing through her hair, the excitement building as she picked up speed. Without warning the statue whacked Orri in the gut stopping her dead in her tracks, "Wha....I...I can't move?!" The shock to her system threw her off and she nearly didn't strike back at the statue. Slightly annoyed at Anaxa's chuckles Morrigan set her eyes on Euryale again and tried another route, only to be stopped once again, 'What is happening?!" She blurted out over and over as each statue seemed to stop her dead in her tracks. After about the sixth time she encountered a statue that took a stance similar to her and Alceaus, her frustration lead to a slight excitement and forgetting of Euryale. Focusing her attention on this incredible martial artist statue, it proved an incredible challenge as they went back and forth. She was reminded of Alceaus' lessons about different tactics and adjusting how one fights. Orri's battle joy returning as it seemed harder and harder to battle this epic warrior trapped in stone. Images of the future swirled in her head, she grew excited to free this warrior from the stone like they did before, and just as those thoughts emerged the statue crumbled, "NO!" kicking the rubble sadly she looked over to see Euryale unconscious and some weird smoke, "Aww....I never got to fight Euryale....." She huffed slightly and started walking over to the scene. "....my Drake..bit....biiitc....mean lady.." mumbling to herself.
Reaching the group and giving Zephyria another loving soft hug to make sure she was ok after the arm incident, and watching the Admiral do some weird thing to smoke. She shrugged and leaned her chin on Zephyria's shoulder a little unfulfilled from the odd battle.
