The Decaying Laboratory

Well, that was dreadful to say the least. Would not wish that end on my worst enemy. These Tomb Giants have the capability of sculpting the corpses of the dead into this horrific construct. I believe this one was called a Gluttoner? I think I recall the name was in a tomb of necromancy I read once. It was horrifying to watch Giggety and Var'ros get sucked into the body of the undead. The stench was grotesque to say the least. Thankfully we all made it out safely. Though I'm not sure about the health of those two. I shall ask Sarenrae for her divinity, hopefully it shall help cure them of any disease that plagues them. But I won't know for sure until they begin to show symptoms.
 
Var'ros' luck didn't improve after the battle with the undead. We found a hidden room where the sights did not get any better. A man had been flayed inside. Seemingly a ward against any intruders such as ourselves. It gave off a necromantic aura that seemed to protect two chests that were inside. When we had removed its wards, Var'ros took to one of the chests. He claims there was a very large diamond within but it was just a ruse as the chest came to life and attacked him. It was just another horror to add to what we had already seen.
 
With this dealt with we made a retreat to our newest campsite. Tomorrow we take to the Gristmill, free the slaves there and then we can save the rest of them. Var'ros and I spoke with the dead he recovered from the Temple. Seems he had brothers that still suffer here. For now I must rest, I leave Var'ros to his watch. I have some important matters to attend to.
