A true failure

I have failed my friends. This Tomb is beyond filled with dangers and I didn't prepare for this.
 
Dredoc was ambushed by some undead abomination. A headless Svarthurim attacked. As it advanced on us, two more undead decrepit frost giants shambled out of the darkness. They did a real number on Giggety, thankfully before the battle ended I was able to save her life. But it made so I could only save hers. We managed to outlast the undead, but it seems the racket of my spells brought a third party to this battle.
 
A frost worm managed to wiggle its way through this old mountain and reach us. Zaxel was able to house it behind a barrier of blades for a time. But it escaped. I tried to warn the party to not kill it and that we needed to retreat, but it fell on deaf ears. With them not listening I prepared a spell to remove myself from the battle. I managed to take Giggety with me, but not before she let loose a volley of arrows at the beast.
 
She slapped me. I can still feel the sting in my cheek. We heard the explosion from the worm go off. Giggetys run off to help them. I just hope they're still alive.
 
What would you have done? Would you have fought harder for everyone's safety? Or did I do the right thing? I just hope I can salvage this.
