Entry 2 - Incompetent

by Exiled Grand Inquisitor Cybil Crownier

INCANDESCENT MOONS 5-8 A SERIES OF MISTAKES / TARGET LOCATED
I awoke to Kevin informing me it was time to start watch. Surprise, the idiot let the captured enemy escape.
It's almost as if all he had to do was look at him for an hour or two, and he couldn't even accomplish such a simple task.
After it was time to wake everyone up, I waited outside Yitoshk's tent and informed him of the "oversight" on Kevin's behalf. Needless to say he went off in anger. What did Kevin do? I almost laughed at this one. He decided to chastise ME of all people for his own mistake. Saying he knew he messed up, that we need to let it go, that I'm the "mage hunter" here and complaining that Yitoshk could sic me on him like a dog.
He makes a mistake and gets reprimanded for it and it's all "Boo hoo, I know I made a mistake let it go, fuck Cybil". When I tried to inform people I've moved on from my mistakes, yes mistakes (I admit it), it's
"We can't forgive you ever, you're a monster, screw you".
No complaints, only an observation. It seems I'm the only one here that can take responsibility for their actions without crying about it and acting like a child.
(NOTE : Kevin's incompetence is something to take caution of. Nearly dying, running away from the group instead of to us while in combat, allowing an enemy to escape right next to him while on watch. It seems that not only will I have to find a method of behavior adjustment much like Ashe, but I'll also need to force physical punishment the next time this amount of mistakes happens)

This continued for most the day. Baka was kind enough to show us the way after giving Yitoshk some more drink to satisfy his disgusting addiction. We arrived at his dwelling where we were introduced to the rest of his people, not many were there. They seemed like strong warriors ready to deal with the threat of lizard men around this area at a moments notice. Along them was the target that our mission called to be delivered to Kasvaar.
While we were graciously invited inside and showed around, everyone but Yitoshk and I decided to rummage around their home. We're here to convince someone to accompany us back, and here Ashe and Kevin are just waiting to make them dislike us.
(NOTE : I held my tongue this time, but Ashe has a penchant for snooping in places she doesn't belong. The only way this behavior can be skirted seems to be if there's tangible consequences to her action. Note ideas for this)

Their leader explained that they wanted to fix this problem of lizards attacking people and we decided to help them, if only so that our target will cooperate fully in accompanying us back to Kasvaar. We got some rest after coming to an agreement and awoke in the morning to a surprise training session with the rest of the Taudon.
I decided to train with Baka, to see if our guest would actually have came in handy if we were attacked while on the way here. Maybe I took it a bit far, but chances are he's just weak. He came at me when I made it clear I wasn't playing around should he decide to attack, even if it's training, I don't take any bodily harm lightly.
I gave him one of my Sonic Screams, blowing out the candles in the room. In the dark he possibly had an upper hand, if I wasn't capable of watching him regardless, so I deflected his attacks easily. Once close a quick explosion of sonic energy sent him flying into a nearby wall almost killing the man.
Pathetic. Two hits and he was almost dead? How could he protect anyone, much less himself. I watched everyone respond to the explosion, clearly agitated that I "took things too far".
More like I overestimated his strength. I think this was a lesson to everyone here. You can talk all you want to me, but you decide to act on that disgusting hatred consuming your emotions towards me and you'll end up like Baka. A bloody mess plastered onto the wall. I saw myself out and let everyone finish training and healing Baka, deciding it was time to get some rest after waiting out the rest of the day. I'm putting down my notes for the day, and as I do I want to note more thing. These people need a leader, one that can reign in these people compromising the mission, one that isn't a pathetic drunk that can't even sleep at night like a child.
