Hello Auntie,
I do enjoy your letters from home. Dad tends to be so serious, but I love hearing about the fun side of our family. I really miss home and wish I could visit more. I wanted to let you know that I have fully invested myself in being a spy like my mother was. I know that may not be what you wanted to hear, but I've always wanted to be more than just a naval officer like dad. My curiosity about our maternal family history along with some of the things I've found out about ruins and stories around Oathwatch make me, more than ever, want to enhance my spy skills and become a spy that our maternal line would be proud of.
Please don't tell father as he did not want me to pursue this either. I've been working on combat, of course, and immersing myself in history lessons, but there is so much to explore here and my curiosity is at all time high. Too many times we've been told to not talk someone or do something, and you know, it makes me want to talk to those people and do those forbidden things even more. But don't worry, I am not fearless, and I am not taking reckless risks. My friends and I are doing what we feel is right, though. I do feel like I am becoming more than just "a follow the rules" kind of girl than I used to be, and I like it.
I will not put anyone in danger, so don't worry about that either. Maybe I've awakened the pirate blood me, the need for adventure and discovery, you know? And I'm still watching out for Davi and Zeph, though they are holding their own pretty well and are needing me less and less. It's time I did what I wanted to do, and not just what father and mother want me to do. Certain things that have happened have proven this to be true. I wish I could tell you more, but know that I really feel that I am pursuing what I am meant to do!
I can't wait to come home and see you and tell you about the things I'm learning and seeing here! Please don't worry too much about me!
Love,
Cora
