Letter to Father

by Lady Coraelia Embergale

Hello Father!

We are all doing well. Davi now has him own group, kind of like a club, of those boys and girls who are interested in expanding on their sea based family heritage, a naval group of sorts. They focus on naval history and re-enacting famous naval battles (as much as you can do with a student made ship on dry land), though they would love to do battles on the lake if they were allowed to) and learning combat useful on a navy ship. It's been amazing seeing him become more and more of a leader, with the help of Rhaen and Varik, thankfully. He is going to be quite the naval leader someday. You would be so proud of him!

Zeph joined a protective guard for the princess here, can you believe it? She has become more fearless and brave than I could have imagined when she clung to me at age five in the boat on our way to Oathwatch for the first time. She hardly needs me anymore, which makes me happy and sad at the same time. She was instrumental in helping up save the princess - I am sure you heard all about her kidnapping! Because Zeph ran to me and my friends to tell us that the princess had been kidnapped, we were able to go after her and bring ber back along with Zyrelle. We found out there's a cult under our noses here!

Don't worry, Zeph did not come with us to rescue the princess - I made sure of that. She was so upset with herself for not being able to stop it, but I comforted her and told her she did the right thing in coming to us for help. We have our own little group now, and even have our meeting place! And now we're we've rescued a princess - bet you didn't think that would happen while I was at Oathwatch!

I know I graduate in two years, but the lessons and friends I've made here will last a lifetime. That includes Darya, of course. We've become even closer now, and I wonder if I will be able to finally learn some of her family sailing secrets soon. We shall see!

Love you and miss you,

Cora
