Session 42: Parley in the Halls
During our rest, I attempted to engage Grace in the reasons for his sudden and quite strong reaction to the slavers, why he seemed to set on killing them immediately or in the near future. He was evasive as to his reasoning, simply stating that he felt like it, and then went on to say something about being “that time of the year”. I don’t know very much about elves, but this seems to me to be nothing but obfuscation. I don’t know about the other Scales, but I would not agree to pursuing the death of the slavers without much better reason or motivation. The conversation, if it even could be called as such, was dropped.
Not too long after, the Umbral Enclave appeared. Surrounded by many of the foot soldiers, appearing from the shadowy borders of the Hall, we were approached by the leaders of the Enclave. They wished to discuss the threat of Wagner.
They gave us information, such as House Vladaam being under the purview of their mistress (Death?), and alluded to powers greater than the gods.
A pact of mutual assistance was signed, although I can’t say that there were any firm promises made by either side. We established a point of contact with one of the leadership via Diplomat’s Pouch. We also discussed Houses Rau and Khatru.
