Leave it to Dara (notes ooc)

We began on a larger boat, "armed to the teeth".
Dara 23 history check: The Dread Run is a fast river that connects directly to the sea. Brackish, mysterious waters. In times of need, there is a way to fish in the river
 
setting off around noon- first 8 hours were uneventful
2nd 8 hours: I rolled a perception check to see a gnome attach a note to a raven. I had guatir follow and steal the note from the raven. He does that without the other raven noticing. Merrli shoots the raven out of the sky.
I talked to the gnome, he (?) had 3 kids-lost 2 to a fever in cindermire 4-ish years ago
 
The note contained information about us in a religious cult language-most of which grew out of asmodeus cults.
I tracked the gnome to the hold while yelling at the rest of the party. Manny was in the kitchen with the cook. The gnome was actively hiding in a crate. We roll initiative. We're debating on whether or not to kill him, I snapped a little and just said to kill him and if we feel like it, I can revivify him. I think during this, Guatir nips at me and I totally ignored it.
Manny casts zone of truth after Dara killed the gnome and I revivified him.
 
The gnome (Gnomble Thumblethumb?) was instructed to gather information on us, but was not privy to all of the information about the larger goals. He is specifically a spy for his wife-the matriarch of his family, I have "asked the raven for his family? -ravens specifically" I have no idea what we asked him. But it makes me think that this cult was specifically baiting me/Eles. We asked which container was his, killed him and cast gentle repose so he could not become undead for 10 days. We opened his chest and didn't find much, a sketch of his family and some furs
 
The boat suddenly and unexpectedly ran aground, the dock was kind of far away from us and was empty, kind of weird as other docks were active. I cast control water and got us to the dock.
7 goblins- Dara crit twice! the goblins invoked Malachar's name, someone was sent a letter by General Tiefus (or was that the lead goblin?)
 
Heading to Affgroth: it turns out we're there for a huge holiday, a celebration of a great victory several hundred years ago. There was camping outside of the city gates. I scryed on Eles's home- it made Eles feel homesick, but everything looked normal.
 
"one hour past dawn" (?). A halfling approached the gate with 3 sheep in tow. Manny ran up to them. notes that make no sense "'halftown' Juli" No idea what that means.
 
We got Dara involved in a fight with "Umstrike Axeshoulder" because Dara was the daughter than ran away. I have a note that says "bitch is STRONG" talking about Axeshoulder. I also have a note "Dara is fighting an LT" no idea what "LT" is
 
5 rounds into combat, with Eles healing Dara a couple of times, we hear a booming voice telling them to stop fighting. It's Dara's father Dorath Proudstone who demands that he and Dara speak privately. Dara refuses (hell yeah bitch). We get him to give us some time before entering the war room.
 
I have another nonsense note "Underground water under mountain, Venice" OH, is that because this city is kind of like an underground Venice?
 
We ended the session with Dara charging into the war room
