Trail of Blood

As I stared at the body hanging upside from the ceiling, with no skin and his insides piled up on the ground, it struck me how fortunate I was not to have had a huge breakfast. Abe started having a look around, I'm better at stopping people getting killed than finding out what happened to them.
 
As I was taking the body down from the ceiling I realised the skin piled at the bottom of the bottom didn't belong to Master Vernon. It was the skin of an elf. Dark sorcery is clearly involved.
 
I'm going to take Elsbethia to the Town Watch and Abe is going to the Ordo. If either of us see Master Vernon then we will arrest him.
 
Elsbethia was hiding information from us. I had to take a harsh stance with her to get her to reveal that Master Vernon had had an elven visitor. Dark Sorcery is definitely involved in all of this and we must make sure that those who carry it out are routed out. I've seen what these Dark Arts are for and there is absoloutely no way we can let those who practice it going around flaying whoever they want.
 
I met Captain Marvello at the guard house. He is young but seems capable. He is looking for any help he can get in finding the Flayer. I offered our services and he seemed to accept. He said there had been four victims and suggested we speak to the examiner who looked at the bodies.
 
I set off to the Ordo Magica to meet up with Abe. Abe isn't here. I set off to find Mayve. I brought her up to speed and we went to find Abe and Takk.
 
We caught up in the tavern over some fruit and we agreed that Abe would go to the Ordo to look at the books and the rest of us would go to see the Examiner. We're pretty sure the Mayor is a v illain so we've agreed that no one will go and see him without the rest of us.
 
The Medical Examiner didn't seem particularly competent. We learned about the other victims and it looks like everyone who has been killed has been killed in the old district in the north of the city. Takk thinks the pattern of the killings resembles that of a predator killing around it's territory, which makes sense.
 
We're going to go to where the killings have happened and are going to search to see if we can find the lair of this beast.
