Aftermath

by Sir Andry Sorin

Folk around here some pretty greatful for the work I did with the cultists. I've been staying at the Rusty Dragon, the guy at the bar is now a friend of mine, he gets me my drinks for free. So far everyone seems content to leave me be, the last five days have been quiet. At some point I would expect that I will need to buy my own if only out of pride.

A small messenger brings a message asking me to report to the acting mayor at the town hall. The Mayor gave us some Thaler for saving the town, a pretty good amount far more than my contribution deserves but I wasn't going to argue with them.

I went to a cheaper tavern with my new friends and had bacon, it was pretty good actually. Everyone kept referring to me as a hero, so when the oppertunity to head to Thistlehold came up I reluctantly accepted.

I've managed to get a job for us as caravan guards, we'll get our food provided for us which is the main thing. Unfortunately my companions do not attract the same rate as I do but, as they shared their bounty with me I will share mine with them.

Five days without incident. This is a good sign. We make it to Thistlehold, time to find accomodation with a bath. Mayve looked at me as if I were talking about finding a palace to stay in..... maybe my standards haven't hit rock bottom yet.

Before I even found a place to stay for the night trouble found me. A small person bumped into me and asked to be protected, a bunch of particularly obnoxious black cloaks demanded I hand her over. Before any questions could be asked they drew their weapons and attacked me. At least two of them are unwell now and another is definitely dead. They yelled that Father Bordello would see us burn for this. The guard didn't seem to have any power to help so Mayve and I have headed to the mission of Prios. Tak and Abe have headed to the Ordo Magica.

The adepts tended to my wounds, which was nice.

Met up with Abe and went to see some Master teacher person. We found him, hanging upside down, without his skin. This is always how it starts.
