We have a message when we go back to the hotel. The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston needs immediate assistance. Freddy Bryden - he is in need of assistance. We take the train back to Boston. We meet Malcolm's dad at the law firm. He fills us in on the details - he wants us to check in on Freddy Bryden. His mom passed. Someone is missing a locket. We are off to Charleston, MASS.
We plan to get paid for this endeavor. We head to the museum to talk to Mister Forbes.
He says two of their students have gone missing. Ruth Hall (freshman, 18) and Helen Wilson (sophomore, 19) have gone missing along with a professor. John Davies. The police have not found anything. He has been working with a detective name Paul Ferell. He hasn't come up with any info. Two weeks ago prof. Davies stopped showing up to classes. They have maybe 100 students. Day school. Ruth lives with her parents. Helen lives with her family.
We follow up with some professors. They give us some more leads. John Davies' parents live in Providence, RI. Mr. and Mrs. James Davies. We also get addresses for Ruth Hall and Helen Wilson. Everywhere we go, a particular janitor (Roberto Silva) seems nearby. The janitor notes that the same man approached all three of them. He was a museum regular - he doesn't know his name. The man was in his early 40s, well dressed, drank a lot. Looked like he didn't sleep well. The Sunday before Prof. Davies went missing he was at the school. The janitor was listening to the fight and he saw Prof. Davies leaving toward the direction of the museum. This other man showed up suddenly and surprised the professor. They spoke a few words. Set off together. The professor wasn't coerced.
We head to Charleston to see Freddy Bryden. The tallish young man answers the door. He went to a pawn shot to get something and saw his mom's locket in there! It has his mom's initials on it. It was specially made for her. The shop is called... <insert shop name here>. His mom's initials are JAB (Josephine Bryden). Republic Loan Pawn Shop. Between Tremont and Washington streets.
We check out the pawnshop. Shadowy-looking courtyard. I go in with Randall (Jakob Marley). Lots of silver and gold jewelry. We find the locket. We buy it for $20. Randall and I go back to the office. I try some psychometry and try to read the history of the necklace. I get that the necklace was given to her by Frederick when he was 10 and that her grave was violated.
