Session 10

Retcon:
Everything after leaving for the patrol last session never happened, and we lost Ludwig and Folium due to unforseen circumstances, Ludwig was drafted to go on patrol separately and Folium was imprisoned permanently
 
 
We enter the inn to have a last drink and discuss our options before leaving on patrol, but quickly we meet two new people who seem hesitant but willing to join us
 
They are Kaelor Greymark, a goliath light cleric and Gotumir Bash, an almost entirely naked man who is a barbarian/monk multiclass.
 
After some initial introductions and an explanation of our plans for the day, we get called from outside to start the patrol
 
I let the guard (i think it was Bert) know that if we dont return in 3 days they can assume we're in trouble and should probably send backup, not necessarily to save us, but rather to protect the homestead we are going to
 
The woods are very dangerous the further we stray from the path, so we decide to take it slow and gather some extra rations on the way, as well as bringing the two new guys up to speed properly on what's been happening so far and our longer term goals
 
Once the sun starts to set and the shadows grow longer, we find a spot to camp for the night, having Juniper, RuHa and Kaelor take turns keeping watch, but not before Kaelor cooks us some food with my cook's utensils. The food is delicious and i offer him to keep the utensils, but he declines for now
 
In the middle of the night, seemingly during Ruha's watch she dozes off and then suddenly we get attacked by a giant spider. It has trapped all of us in its web so first we need to free ourselves before we can fight it.
 
After a short skirmish we manage to defeat the spider, Kaelor already proves is value to the team by confusing the beast with some magical lights or something, idk, i was still pretty groggy
 
We decide to move over a little bit and go back to sleep, after which the night ends without further issues
 
During the morning ritual Kaelor is praying to his god Lathander using an amulet he has. It starts to glow and from his expression when looking at Juniper it seems to have had a message for him, one he didnt seems to like
 
We are refreshed and ready to start the second day of travel, the homestead cant be much further now
