Juniper needs much less sleep/rest, so she went to the other room to try and talk to the elves there again
she's not making much progress, so gives up and goes back to our room
We wake up and have breakfast, then go outside to start the day
After some convincing we manage to get Folium out of the cage, then we walk over to Vorrak
We tell Vorrak about the ivory order in the inner walls, and their desire to reconnect
We also tell him about Tharian's plan to dismantle the cranes for weapons, and that we don’t want this
We manage to convince him to take action and get back into the swing of things
He says there are rapports that Tharian keeps, he would like to see those, but cant asks his own soldiers to get them, so basically hes asking us to secretly steal them for him
We then move to the market where we split up to look around
I decide to buy a metal lantern with some faint blue sheen, with the aim to maybe smelt it around in the future
We move to the shrine, which is a massive and looks like both a dwarf and a giant at the same time
I can very clearly tell this work is really ancient, and not originally from here, it must’ve been made by the giants of old, and the pillars to the side are possibly even older, predating the concept of worshipping a god in humanoid form
The god depicted here is clearly Gond, the god of creation and construction
The face is partially covered by moss that turns the face more animalistic, more than would be usual from these vines, so it might have some magical effect
We leave for now, but this place is very important so we'll be back later
The patrol starts, it'll take about 0,5-1 days to travel to the homestead
During the patrol we come across some strange electric fox with antlers, piet wants to shoot it as ordered by Tharian, but we manage to convince him not to, then we move on towards the homestead
I can smell charcoal in the distance, and hear a creaking noise nearby, I decide to start making more pace towards the homestead
Shit shit shit shit shit, wtf is that??!!
Shit, owlbear behind us
After god knows how many rounds and distractions we managed to disengage and leave the owlbear alone
All it cost me was a spell slot and one rations
That was a close call
