Looking for the world (well, a globe anyhow)

by Jensen

We spent 10 minutes bandaging wounds before moving further inside. We explored a large empty warehouse room before unlocking a door that led into an alley. We left this and moved across the warehouse, finding another locked door. We heard movement inside. Elisan called out to open in the name of the law! We heard more movement but no reply. Elisan booted the door open. Inside we found a man working at burning some papers and books. He was not impressed at us intruding or trying to put out the fires. He gave us a good fight, but was ultimately brought under control. Once he was down we were able to identify him as Percen Droan, the person we were looking for here. We looked through the books he was trying to burn, finding some great evidence! A small thieves guild plans to rob the Penny & Sphinx Trust during the parade. They were seeking specialty parts for a float in the parade to aid with this. We turned over our prisoners & headed back to base.
The following morning we went to Sgt. Ollo to report. He took our report and asked that we attend the parade to see if we could catch the perpetrators in the act. He asked if we had wrapped up the other leads we had heard about. We told him we had resolved some of them, but others were still needing attention. We still needed to find out who was vandalizing Orvington Money Changers. We decided that we should head to the Penny & Sphinx Trust to see what we could learn from Bertram, the owner. We discovered that the vaults were housed underground. It was possible that the thieves planned to gain access underground in some way. We asked Bertram is he would consider forbidding access to the lower levels during the parade, while we waited inside in ambush. He agreed to this. We investigated inside, but could not find any way they might gain access. We then went outside and searched nearby sewers for any signs of attempted entry. We could find none. We decided we should put a pin in this and go see about getting Chadraxa's chrages dropped by the Muckruckers so she could return to the Puddles district. We spoke with Ziraya, obtaining a pardon for Chadraxa. We then headed to see Chadraxa. With the pardon in hand, she was willing to tell us that the heist was going to take place at either Bertram's or Roka's. She also told us of a gang working with the "Skinshaw nutjobs", a group named Copper something or other. As we went to hand the pardon to her, Jensen noticed the name of one Uther Orvington on the owing board. We questioned her about this. She told us that Mr. Orvington's son owed her 100gp with interest. The principal was 20gp. We gave her the pardon, as we had agreed to, for her information. Jensen made sure she knew that this business with the Orvington's had to be resolved before the original copy would be filed with the Muckruckers. We headed off to Orvington Moneychangers to see the owner. When we told him what happened he was pissed! He gave us his son's inheritance of a magical longsword and 250gp. He said he would settle the debt with Chadraxa. We waited a day and then gave the original copy back to Ziraya. We spent the next day preparing ourselves for the bank heist. On the day of the parade we waited inside the bank. Soon enough one of the floats lifted a pirate ship mast high into the air. It then fell over and came crashing down onto the bank, knocking down a wall & creating an opening. Most of us were in the basement, but Elisan was at the top of the stairs and clearly heard where the wall was crushed. He began running towards the door where the noise came from...
