Session 16

by Sergeant (Ret) Will Bakersmith

Great more cops Will thought as he listened to Rufus and Jericho talk about their encounters with two detectives last night. They will have to stay low for a bit until things start to blow over, the last thing he needed was having to deal with the law again while he was trying to restart his life. After Rufus stormed off, Will agreed to help Jericho with the insurance paperwork which took until noon. Afterwards he began building and store front and community web page for Jericho and Sons. After all with the fire wiping out the Junkyard it will be even longer before the space would begin to see a return for the pack.
It was a nice quiet day. The type of day that Will always said he wanted to have every day, but really that was a lie. Quiet days gave him time to think. Something that never ended happily since his wife had died. Too many painful memories always wormed their way into his brain but not today. After we came back through the locus Jerchio and Barnaby went learn their perspective skills. Meanwhile Rufus and Will went to get a drink. Since Oasis was currently unable to used due to the fire. There they met Romana who surprisingly was on the wrong side of the bar with a glass in her hand. Another glass sat next to her filled to the brim. The packmates greeted her and asked to join her. There they spent the night in miseries company. Romano’s sorrows, Will’s regrets and Rufus’s rages. In Romano Will felt a kinship. Someone who knew what it felt like to lose one’s whole world and soon both were regaling each other in tales of their loved ones, those who were gone and those who may still be present. Though Will did not mention his son, he couldn’t help but privately think about him when the conversations sizzled.
Eventually Will made it home, once in bed. His son finally hit the forefront of his thoughts. Would he be like him, werewolf? Or maybe just wolf blooded. He sent him away because he couldn’t deal with a newborn after his wife died. He had never doubted that he was right to do so but now…now he was not as certain…..
