Session 5 notes

by Morningstarr Von Morrow

“Yup, that me. You’re probably wondering how I got here”
So last we left off we were found this huge troll with all sorts of objects stuck in it’s skin.
It’s one ugly mamajama
Tesse runs off to get into melee- oh god no
This troll seems to have some kind of extended regeneration but an aversion to fire. Also it doesn’t need it’s organs.

Wythod Calcinas- Old elf man. The troll was an unfortunate resident that lived near his shack. He seems so calm, it is because he is ready. He built a HUT SINCE HE GOT HERE. No truth is being concealed. He’s on a journey, he’s going to Ch’vosi and he’s going to die.
He met the love of his life Katya ages ago but she died a long time ago. He wants to be buried next to her. His family were royal once- once saw this city when it was in its prime.

Gunter- Royal Wythods, 600 years ago. Last standing regent before the nation collapsed. Abdicated shortly after what destroyed this city.

There used to be a nation here. It was an advancement of an Elvin colony and was once the largest, southern post part of greater Prysula. It was called the kingdom of Beshland. Cite fills the wall where Grygraw is to Serietae on the map; mostly hills and coast.
He says that the society fell because a majority of minor nobles were becoming fascinated with a Yuan-ti cult; The cult of Thaassal. It promised power and fortuitous winds, basically wealth. A mix of revelry and a natural disaster, possibly caused Thaassal let to a downward spiral and destruction of the nation.

He asks about the elf colonies: the only one left is Maphesus. Excellent place, white sand as far as the eye can see.

I have a load of stories from an old ass elf man gathered over the course of 2-3 days travel. We then arrive at the outskirts of Chvosi. Little homesteads and hamlets start to show up. About 3 miles up track there is a prominent hill (that defines the Chvosi hill). On top of which sits a new fortress and a village that sits at the bottom of it.

There were some people collecting debts. Those who couldn’t pay had resources taken from them.
There are 50/50 split between guards and Olive and green wearing mercenaries.
We hide the grimoire.
A guard Singles us out, Lombani is expecting us, we’ve been given an in.

Wythod is going to his family’s resting place. Levi was the last one one to talk to him.

Francis- while in Dymath, those scholars mentioned the barrows as a place we could potentially raid for artefacts. We got some things, helped Wythod get up some stairs and enter the temple.

Torches burn very clean, blue flames within the temple. There are Alters all along the hall but the one to Saeroche (god of harvest and music) is way bigger. There is an old half orc man in his 70s; the rest are devotees. Someone wants to get in through a grate, Francis breaks in. They lost the key, it’s all gouche.

There are restless spirits and ghosts in the tomb. Point taken.

Grzegorz Krawczyk- the groundskeeper of the Chvosi burial site. Has eye infection, he shouldn’t be able to see us, yet he does. If we need something, he’ll always have work.

Intricate stones and long stairway later, we make down to a very dusty tomb. Staring out into the dark, a curved wall of a large structure. Sounds like there a source of water flowing against stone. Also see a small wilted underground grove. ME AND NICKTON TRY TO SAVE IT. We succeed by turning on a device that emits a HUGE amount of light.

Something starts moving in a circular room, somethings in there. Grinding sound.
There’s a shrine on the right side, an elf hero related to the war of the giants. Old man has to go in there.

Francis goes into the room. There is a statue on the left side. Wythod kneels and mutters the start of a long litany. The room is Lob-sided, why?
Decoration appears to stop at one stage, it’s a completely square piece of stone. ITS GONE.

Me and Tesse make dex saves. As the stone shifts to become a wall, I go outside of the room and Tesse jumps in.

I don’t know what’s happening in there for all we know they could already be dead. Oh god, it’s happening again. It’s happening again, I’ve learned nothing since the book.

We’re level 6.
