Dodging The Derge but Carnage in the Library

* So I missed out on passing through The Derge *phew* while the others took a chance, but I did find an apple vendor on the way to the Library after that Dog Girl left me. She's damaged in ways I can't even start to imagine, I wonder if it's all part of an act? Meh, 2 gold coins later and I don't what to see that cheerless show again.
 
* The Library was well stocked and I found a valve wheel behind some books in the Alchemy section before being freakishly approached by an odd character (Tane Ceolwy). Petros was present and he went to find the others to deal with the situation allowing me time to read and write! Cheliana/Leliche - Shameless I know, but it's my one weakness...
 
# I wonder when the carnage happened, I admit I'm a little hard of hearing since the incident but how did I miss that? With all the blood, a little vomitus won't be a problem. Still, I hope I'm allowed back in one day - it really is a good library. An opportunity for "Alter Self"?
 
* Talking about spells, I was able to use "Mount" to assist in a quick departure and I didn't falter when mounting the horse! What a ride today has been.
