Session 53: Faenor defeats his father, and the heart of woe is free

It's the 17th of PanAelsh, roughly 3pm
 
We are in the middle of a swamp. Unclear of where we are at. WE try to decide what we need to do.
 
Deal with the Rift? - We're not doing this. We will delegate it to the other group.
Deal with Pisou? The northern tower? We will deal with this
Deal with Woe and/or the invading armies of Adenazeal. We will deal with this.
 
Wait a minute, Franz Iceman is here in this swamp with us. I guess Mordenkainen brought him here. BAck in time. To this mystery swamp. Then he leaves and comes back with Light Lockmarch.
 
It turns out we are on the East most Southern side of the continent. We convince Mordenkainen to teleport us, and e sends us to Galvania (not to be confused with New Eldoria.) and before we can ask any questions, Mordy just disappears.
 
We are in a small house and there is a guy bathing in a tub and hi wife screams. WE apologize for the error and leave.
 
WE decide to head towards the moon gate to try and get back to Eldoria to get our army.
 
We find the moon gate after searching for a few hours. This is where Serule opened the moon gate for us before. It's not open right now, but there is a white flower still here that she had grown, and we think we can use it to open the gate again.
 
We decide to take a long rest first though.
 
It's the 17th of PanAelsh, 7am.
 
As we discuss how we plan to march the golems down stealthily, we discuss that Vest probably already knows our plan, and at that moment, she walks up.
 
She' s like, our goals align. Let me help you. While we discuss which moon pool to go to, Franz gets ahold of the flower that opens it and jumps in the pool. We see it open up. We find that Leland can't go through the moon pool, because he's just a suit of armor. If one of us "wears" Leland he might be able to go through. Franz agrees to do this when Lufere's Plan to wear it as a monkey fails. This works. We all get through the pool and are in Eldoria.
 
Actually, we figure out a way mathematically to use teleportation circles to teleport to Temperforge(where the dwarves are in the wasteland of woe). we decide to do that. and not involve Vesta nor the moon pools at all.
 
half of us plus 500 golems go through on day one. The second half us plus the remaining golems go through on day 2.
 
AFter ther 1st 168 have gone through, the dwarves close the circle. Faenore communicates to the others to stop travelling. They go to meet the king and Faenore finds that his father Pisou is there.
 
I guess they've been discussing alining with Adenizeal and Pisou will "share magice with the dwarves as well as the Adenizealians". Pisou is convincing the kind that the Adenzealians are our allies. Not our enemies. Tempest calls it all out as a lie.
 
This erupts into a huge argument at the table. FAenore ultimately wants to avoid war, because it will lead to death and souls for corellon.
 
Faenore ultimately is playing along with all of this talk from his father in an attempt to gain information. Faenore talks them into adjourning their meeting. Pisou takes him and cass a zone of truth around Faenore and they have a "man to man" talk.
 
Pisou tells Faenor that they humans are hiding someting, and he doesn't know where they are getting their power from. Faenor knows this. Pisou wants to take Faenor's golems to attack great spear since Greatspear is resisting the conquering of Adenizeal.
 
Pisou asks how they are controlling the golems and Faenor tells them it's because the are a part of the Magnus family. Pisou wants Faenore to marry Leland Magnus so that they can gain control of the golems. He's like we can cast ceremony and tell him that his body will be restored if he gets married.
 
Faenore tells Pisou that he has seen Corellon face to face in Arvendor, and Pisou takes credit for this encounter. Faenor tells him that Correlon has instructed him to bring him back to the fold and they are to swap places. Faenor is now to rule the army and Pisou is to step down.
 
This troubles Piosu and he stands up and has a "conversation" with presumably "Corellon"? then he tells Faenor he wish he hadn't said that. Pisou now thinks that Faenor is delusional and possibly possessed.
 
Meanwhile, Tempest and Leland try reasoning with the king. They gain understanding that the king is just being strategic and doing what is best for his people. If they could just be patient, he would open the portal later. He then has them arrested.
 
Lyra....by Eldoria has tried to get a response from Faenor on the shared gauntlet. she's not getting a response from Faenor and is getting a bad feeling in her gut about all of this. She decides to call in her boone with Corellon. She asks him to take her, Franz, Hazel , Light and all the golems to Faemor and to let Pisou see him with us when he does it.
 
She also asks if he could restore Franz, as Franz is still a vampire spawn even though he killed the Magnuses. It did not free him as intended.
 
Corellon makes a really fancy beautiful ship that we load all the golems on. He grows a magical apple with a special juice for Franz. He tells Franz to drink it during the Equinox mid summer. (Approximately 6 months from now). Or he can drink it in the summer court if he's ever there.
 
Corellon tells Franz that there is enough for his friend Hyadr as well.
 
Once we get all the golems on the boat, he takes us up so high in the sky that we see a continent that we never knew about. It's not on any of our maps. Lyra asks about it. and Correlon tells her it's a "small" continent passed the equator. We can actually see a boat down there. It's got a sigil with 2 swords that are crossing. There are 3 individual swords next to it. It's a deep blue. Corellon says they are mercenaries who will work for whomever pays them money. They are the elites of the elites. Lyra has no idea about this, but makes note of their sigil. One of their elite soldiers can kill 100 soldiers. They are called the EmberSeed Guard.
 
Lyra and Franz remember a story about a fisherman that got lost at sea that ended up on another continent that nobody believes exists and on this continent there was a military training school where they train children from a young age to be elite warriors and mercenaries. They've never been seen on our side of the world, and nobody really believes they exist.
 
Correlon tells us that ship is actually trying to get to GreatSpear. They met their king a long time ago. King Sirik. We go down and check it out.
Because, why would we be in a hurry to get to our friends? hahahaha
 
Anyway, There is a guy with a scar on his face wearing a black robe with feathers on it. Some Lady wearing pink.
 
We get on their boat. Their names are Vael Stratus, Selis Veyney, and Elora Avalis. They tell us about Syrick. some of his people sent a message saying their kingdom was in trouble? they want to go offer their services.
 
They plan to get through the equator by killing a Leviathan.
 
Correlon offers to get them across the equator safely as they would be eaten alive.
 
Corellon puts them near Greatspear to go help there.
 
We continue on our way and Corellon tells us to tell Faenor to meet us outside with his dad.
 
Meanwhile....Lufere was just kind of left alone and then nobody came back for him. He started exploring and met the guy who closed the portal. Somehow through drunken conversation, Lufere accidentally convinces the dwarf to open the portal, and he fucking does.
Lufere then bumps into the guards that are taking Leland and Tempest to jail. He casts Geas on one of them and it makes him give him a tour of the jail while he takes Leland and Tempest to Jail. This ends with Lufere having a window of time to jailbreak, very easily the two.
 
 
Meanwhile- Pisou and Faenor---Pisou tells Faenor he cannot trust him. He asks why Faenor is so cold. (because of the heart) He knows that Faenor's heart has been cursed. Pisou offers to help him, but he must tell him what's wrong. Faenor gets a message on the bracer saying to come outside with his dad. He tells Pisou that Lyra is best to explain all of this and she's here right now.
 
They go out and Pisou sees the boat float down. He drops us all off. He gives a kiss to Faenor and Lyra, and then he just leaves. The boat he is in turns into a beautiful orchard of the sweetest apples.
 
Pisou is NOT happy. He can't believe that Corellon wouldn't even acknowledge him.
 
Lyra and Pisou get into an argument about Faenor's heart. Franz and Pisou get into a debate. Pisou insults Lyra and Faenor punches his father in the face. At that moment Pisou calls his men to surround Faenor. Hazel has the golems surround them. Faenor tells Pisou's men to stand down, and they listen to him. Faenor tells the ent to arrest his father, and they obey.
 
They magically bind him. We walk to the elvaan camp outside. Faenor makes an excellent speech to the elves that Corellon have chose him to be their new leader. The elves accept this and Correlon confirms things by growing magical orchards around the whole camp.
 
Faenor reads through his father's journals.
 
Tempest wants to use this to stop Adenizeal's maic temporarily and we debate why we should/shouldn't do that. Some are very against using this for anything as this is what we arrested Pisou for. It would be better to either get rid of their source (free Milekie) or get in the city and may be assassinate Thandius.
 
Faenor finds an open invitation to Adenizeal to her dad. We think maybe Faenor can pretend to be Pisou and that will get us all in the city.
 
We go see a cleric about resurrecting Leland. We get him resurrected. Yaaaay!
 
The clerics investigate Faenor's condition. They say it's possible to remove his heart and cast regenerate at the same moment, it could work.
Faenor agrees to this. The surgery works and he is restored.
 
The heart becomes a blue elemental and everything goes dark. It is sucking in all the heat around it. Tempest freezes it in place. The darkness around us is actually a different place. It has moved us into some kind of demi plane. Lyra starts casting Planar Binding.
 
As we do this, Xantoine Jr. approaches. He says "sigh" I'm so glad that I'm finally back with my heart. I thank you all. He starts to transform into a bone dragon. He takes the falactory. We can't really do anything about it. He still wants us to kill Xantoine Sr. though.
 
We are like, that aligns with our goals right now. He leaves us, happy that we will deal with Xantoine Sr. soon. We get back.
 
We get ready to go to the meeting with the dwarves and adenizeal. This is where we end.
