Erdis de Sade was born 25 years ago in the city of Parisius and a nephew of Count Wilhelm de Sade, a high ranking count in the Parisian court. From an early age he showed the same tendencies as other de Sades; an abnormal delight in inflicting pain & terror in others.He showed even at this age a didlike in doing the same thing to lower animals, and the young.
 
He made his way round the local noblity acting almost as a peacekeeper to the other children enforcing a sense of right & wrong in them, disciplining those who were bullies & domineering. All the while he prevented those of roughly the same age in his own family from showing the worst of that trait by targetting those who would showed no discipline by literally knocking them into line. Those, such as the de Rais children hated him as if he caught them scheming to hurt others met with swift brutal justice at his hands, and usually at the head of a gang of his familial peers.
 
This streak of justice has never left him and when Erdis aged, his family placed him in the hands of first the local militias and then the household military, first of the de Sade clan, hen of the Crowns own guards. Taking to the disciplined structure of this he has grown, and he regularly has led special corps of troops training in specific elements of war. With the Empire slowly settling into having their own core body of troops directly sponsered by the Crown, he has started to work his way up. At present, he is a sergeant-at-arms for the military protection group, protecting dimplomats and other specialist Court appointees, though has recently been offered another position, one of which may bring a wider understanding of a soldier's life.
 
Recently on assignment with another duplicitous diplomat to a growing town called Eschbach, Erdis was questioned by the Lord of the townland, one Grimmaz Fyrwin. The latter seemed impressed by him knowing of Count de Sade, ex-Burgomaster de Rais, and the notorious Floki the Tramp. Offered a position as the second to the current Sergeant-at-arms for the town's gurad and soon to be raised militia, he has accepted. The town is in a position to need a few good soldiers, and the even more notorious Burgeater regement (retrobates one and all) could do with a strong forceful leader to keep them in line. That is of course they stay out of the worst kinds of trouble of course.
