Personal history

Derek was born to wealthy parents at the Khastoon estate. He is devoted to Behamut, as his parents were, and has sworn that he would vanquish evil if evil was ever present (which for Derek, it rarely ever was) and was trained as a warrior by his father. However Derek was not as adventurous as him and so barely left the grounds.
 
After Derek's parents passed away (within a day of each other) he sank into a deep depression and would only communicate with the reflections of himself he had become infatuated by. For 5 years the servants at the manor allowed Derek to exist like this until the estate hired an Elf by the name of Falafel who sought to help Derek.
 
Falafel, a secret sorcerer, helped to break Derek out if his shell. Together they perfromed minor quests (hunting wolves, kicking goblins out of town, breaking up tavern fights) until Falafel thought it was time that Derek proved himself as a Paladin and finally vanquish some real evil. Derek came round to the idea, left his comforts at home, and set out to make his parents proud.
