Born into the church, Iago was taught each of the giant gods' dogma. Fascinated by the disparity in their teaching, Iago seeks to balance the grim pragmatism of Gizovad survival with the ideals the priests espouse.

Personal history
Iago is a young man. Born into the giant churches of the Gizovad, he was raised with scripture, with martial training, and with the ability to tell Maat from Maug. He studied these concepts eagerly, fascinated with the differing clergies' focuses on what was "good". For the followers of Skoraeus Stonebones for instance, the greatest Maat a person can pursue comes from wisdom and from art. For the followers of Surtr however, Maat is industry and progress, and the chaos and heat of forge and fire. These interplays and lack of universal dogma has led Iago to accept... none of them. A true theologian and philosopher at heart, he has spent his life striving to both understand the precepts that guide the people of Gizovad, and to develop his own system of beliefs.
Education
He was given a robust education in Giant theology, as well as the histories of the Gizovad.
