Dan grew up with his mother, Meena, in the village of Minroe, unaware that his absent father was the town’s former elven priest. Unsure of his purpose, he joined the Purple Dragons out of a desire to belong, but his lack of training and knowledge often make him the subject of ridicule among his fellow guards. Still, Dan tries earnestly, if clumsily, to do his part. Dan is kind-hearted but inept, and he’s perpetually unsure of himself.
