Physical Description

Tall, slim, strong but not bulky, built for stealth and speed over power, but still powerful.

Body Features

Typical bluntly pointed ears of a half-elf.
Keeps his hair short enough that it doesn't brush the back of his neck until after Methodical; starts growing it out in Magic in its Many Forms until it reaches waist length after about 10 years.

Facial Features

Unnervingly wide eyes when he's intensely focused.
Long scar running below both eyes and over the bridge of his nose.
Typically wears several days' worth of silver stubble unless he's making an attempt to look especially respectable; starts keeping a short beard once his hair hits shoulder-length.

Identifying Characteristics

Aside from the scar under his eyes, he has a lot more scars all over his body. His entire back is mapped with scars that look like a spider's web.
The bright lilac color of his eyes is highly distinctive and easily gives him away as not a full-blooded drow; they take on a pink tint when he gets upset and get almost blood-red when he's furious.

Physical quirks

Has a habit of covering his mouth with both hands to hide his expression when he can't control it, whether the emotion he's showing is positive or negative.

Apparel & Accessories

Tends to keep as much of his body covered as possible; generally won't even wear short sleeves in summer, and gets cold very easily in winter so bundles up all season long.
Dresses in dark colors, mostly black and close-fitting, while employed by the crown of K'veer.
Nicer/more formal clothes are in shades of dark purple and blue.
Wears lighter/looser clothes after career change.

Personal history

Adinal was born in the Underdark city of Myho Serin to Lolmara, the matron mother of the Do'Afin family, who conceived him during a human sacrifice ritual to Lolth. Mostly ignored as a small child, Adinal caught his sister Rynloth's attention as an unobtrusive gofer and spy around the household when he was about eight years old. He did her bidding for the next five years willingly because he was desperate for anyone's positive attention, so even the small kindnesses she showed him were

Mental Trauma

Adinal was casually and constantly abused as a child by the other members of his mother's family who saw him as a half-breed embarrassment to their house. He developed hyperalertness very quickly just to be able to survive his sisters' attempts on his safety, and it wasn't enough to prevent him from being literally tortured and nearly killed. He first took a life at age 14, in self-defense when his sister Trylarel tried to murder him in his bed.

Religious Views

Adinal was marked at birth by the goddess Eilistraee despite having been conceived during a rite of worship to Lolth. He didn't realize until he was an adult that it had been Eilistraee who lead him out of the Underdark after the attempt on his life.

Adinal is very soft-spoken, with a low, gravelly voice that goes velvet when he's sweet-talking his beloved.
