Physical Description

Tall and slim, long legged and loose-limbed. Moves gracefully as long as ze isn't overthinking what ze's supposed to be doing.

Body Features

A long scar cuts through zir chest hair from open-heart surgery when ze was an infant. It's just visible in a sweetheart neckline, not visible at all in most of what ze chooses to wear.

Facial Features

Freckled across nose and cheeks. Dimples on both sides when ze smiles. Ears stick out enough that ze's been teased about it zir whole life. Scrupulously clean-shaven; hates the feeling of stubble. Keeps zir hair short because ze hates the feeling of it touching zir neck all the time.

Physical quirks

Zalel never stops moving, either doing something with zir hands or bouncing a leg or tapping a foot all the time. It takes effort to be still, and ze's got much better things to do with zir energy than refrain from stimming.

Has several pairs of glasses; only wears contacts for cosplaying.

Zalel approaches sex like ze'd approach a new hobby, willing to try new ways of doing things just to see how they work; used to define zirself as asexual, now considers zirself demisexual.

person.gender_identity

Zalel had more of a sense of what ze isn't than what ze is; ze wasn't a boy and ze wasn't a girl, and ze isn't a man or a woman now. The word "agender" just came on zir radar recently and that seems the closest to accurate. Mostly identifies as a person with too much style to be constrained by anyone's rules.

Zalel is absolutely infuriated by injustice (so ze's pretty much always angry if ze pays attention to the world).

Zalel is motivated almost entirely by curiosity and the drive to do good in the world.

Very crafty:

• good at cooking after learning from both parents and paternal grandparents


• super skilled with sewing and making clothes, very good at knitting, fair at crocheting, excellent at embroidery


• enjoys papercrafting but doesn't do it very often, likes to handmake birthday cards for loved ones

Vices & Personality flaws

Compulsive, critical, impatient, materialistic, obsessive, opinionated, over-thinking, self-righteous, vain.
Sometimes/situationally: arrogant, brutal, careless, constantly correcting others (mostly just Kier), hypocritical, irritable, over-critical, patronizing, self-indulgent, taciturn, touchy, uptight.

Personality Quirks

Most frequent stim is tapping, either with fingers or toes, against anything ze's holding even if that's a loved one and not an object. Moderate echolalia, repeats both others and zirself. Rubbing Adinal's beard started as an expression of affection and quickly became a tactic to soothe them both at once during moments of anxiety. Likes to chew, often wears a chewy necklace for this purpose.

Hygiene

Zalel is very cleanliness-oriented. Ze showers in the morning and washes zir face before bed every night, uses an electric toothbrush with a timer to brush for exactly two minutes in morning and night, and flosses nightly. (One dentist visit to fill three cavities in high school was enough of an impetus to become very stringent about dental hygiene.) Ze prefers unscented deodorants and uses perfumes in an aromatherapy context more than an adornment context. While ze keeps zir face clean-shaven, ze doesn't shave any other part of zir body (though ze does trim/do maintenance).
