Ebrian grew up in the village of Thistle Brook, country (and even continent) unknown. At some point he was acquired by the Yellow Formian Empire and stored as a research subject in their secret R&D base. He was freed by a New Hallownest strike team that attacked the facility in the opening moves of the New Hallownest-Yellow Formian War. Ba'alzamon Dreamender subsequently dropped him off with the life mages on the Isle of Mists, who would be able to either get him home or teach him to use his gifts.
