Arayne has light brown skin, he is relatively lithe and fit but not particularly muscular, and stands 5'7

Facial Features

Arayne has a rounded head, with round green eyes, scruffy brown hair that is neck length at the back and cut roughly at the front, spiking out in various directions. He has a small nose, and is clean shaven - naturally devoid of much facial hair, and what he has he shaves.

Apparel & Accessories

Arayne's signature attire is leather pants and a leather jerkin, calf-high leather boots slightly worn with age, and a forest green cape hooded, worn around his neck, flowing down over his back, with a section that crosses his chest. A leather belt and leather straps across his legs are used to store useful things, and he carries a wooden staff made of a thin fallen branch smoothed with age.

Personal history

Arayne was an orphan child, found by an old hermit on his way to the local village for supplies. His parents had been slain by bandits and he was left to die. The old hermit Jakar took Arayne in and raises him. His cottage was remote, and Arayne had an unorthodox childhood. Jakar tended to the creatures of the wild, and Arayne grew up with a great reverence for the creatures - great and small - that Jakar would bring back to the cottage to heal. Arayne learned some of Jakar's secrets, the old hermit was not a great expert in the druidic arts but he taught what he knew. Animals became his childhood companions.
 
Jakar often told him of his youth, when he traveled far afield and saw what the world had to offer, before he settled in his little cottage. Sitting by a softly burning fire as he told him about dwarves and elves, exotic towns, war that were fought, the temples of the gods, and much more. However, Jakar was old and he passed away peacefully soon after Arayne reached manhood. Arayne buried his foster father below an old oak, in a ceremony attended only by creature of the field and forest.
 
Arayne soon gathered what he could take, and set out for civilisation, hoping to find an adventure like Jakar had told him about.
