A daughter of the lesser branch of House Brynn, Maevën has spent most of her life relegated to the periphery of the great political intrigues and feuds of the Weryn Nobility. Nevertheless, she worked tirelessly to serve her people, dreaming of a day when she would finally have the power to enact meaningful change. When High Queen Anwyn Brynn died without issue and the main line of House Brynn went extinct, Maevën saw her chance to seize the power that had always been denied her. Marching forth with her allies, she laid low the walls of Aberth-Bann-Eryn with a single, massive spell and routed the defenders with little effort. Aenor Brynn surrendered herself to spare the lives of her remaining soldiers and was promptly executed along with her entourage for high treason. The siege of Myrraneth that followed was then over before it began, for Maevën's allies within the city threw open the gates for her.
She promptly disbanded the interregnum Chorus, arrested those that resisted, and held a series of public addresses upholding her right to succession, stirring up her peoples' fervor over the immensely controversial reforms of her predecessor--including the opening of trade with the humans to the South and the abolition of slavery--and promising to return the past glories of the Weryniad. She now seeks to solidify her rule and to end the wars that wage across her domain by any means necessary.
