Ships Log entry 2***

by Sandor Khan

After our adventure with the ghost ship, the crew seems to be a bit rattled. We got lucky the creepo let us go, as we had no way of beating OR escaping at that point. I need to find a way to put their minds at rest. It seems at least that mr. spook will let us go on our business. Some booty will lift their spirits.

We've arrived at Cammara at the end of the afternoon. As we approached the barren, rocky outcrop of an island, a gnome teleported on the Hind. She guided us through the hidden maze of submerged rocks and sunken ships. The gnomes illusions work as a perfect defense against unwanted intruders. I wonder if we can do something like that around the ship…

The cargo was unloaded, and transported in a moderately guarded warehouse. We might be able to loot something from there. Best speak to the rogues about this I guess. We should take Johnny to teach him something.

The island was filled with gnomes, and seemingly devoid of their homes and workplaces. More illusions though. They use the crystals for pretty much everything. From lighting to transportation. Cant boost my Ki that way unfortunately. Oh well.

The leader of the city, Sparklegem, allowed us in their mines to investigate a newly opened cave system. Kind of naïve. As we were about to head out, deafening noises of explosions and roars sounded from the very cave system. The expedition then turned In a rescue mission in earnest. Oh well, I guess we can negotiate some sort of reward for saving those dwarves.

We came across many weird creatures infused with Aether: Tons of bats, with some confusion magic, a bulette with some crystals out of her armour, and some insect like creatures. The dwarves were WAY out of their league. At least we could save a handful of them. When we progressed in the cave system we came to a large room with a black stone cube in it. Same as we've seen on the mushroom island. Inside was a huge aether golem of sorts. It proved a tough fight, but we managed. The team is starting to grow on me, and on the crew.
