28. The Revered Report

General Summary

This session was mostly combat, so my notes are a bit light.   24th Dravago, 998 YK

• The druids cast their 8th level communal Call Lightning.
• Terfel and an army of orcs charge the crowd gathered outside of the Bonetree Mound.
• As they charge, the orcs yell out alerting the party to an ambush, as chuuls and more dolgrims emerge from the brackish water.
• Batul yells at the party to concentrate on getting Singe, the orcs can handle it.
• Terfel charges in and starts fighting the Bonetree hunters and dolgrims.
• Lightning strikes a bunch of time and kills most of the Bonetree hunters and dolgrims, before Dah'mir dispels the Call Lightning.
• Medala teleports next to Batul and opens with a psionic salvo.
• Singe fireballs himself and Hruucan. Terfel then rescues him.
• Terfel gets sandwiched between two mind flayers, but is saved/saves himself.
• Batul summons an Earth Elemental, and then promptly remembers that spell is a 1 minute casting time and the elemental poofs out of existence. Woops.
• After about 5 rounds of combat, Dah'mir had enough of their shit and transformed, revealing himself to be the Copper Dragon. The surviving bonetree hunters and orcs fled, and the dolgrims descended into a frenzy, attacking everything around them.
• Medala teleports away.
• They have a couple of minutes to recover as Dah'mir circles them and then disappears into the clouds. Some of them heal, some of them drink the Irian water they took from the Shining Valley. Dax' Athla , Kalshana , Dandra, Geth, Ashi and Natrac join the fray.
• Dah'mir drops back down into the swamp, blood dripping from his mouth and claws. He seemingly waits.
• They unload on him, lightning bolts, fireballs, arrows. He seems to shrug most of it off.
• Krepis charges the dragon and gets disemboweled for the effort.
• Medala reappears behind Dandra and starts blasting with her brain powers.
• Singe gets off a very high damage magic missile on Dah'mir.
• Dah'mir reposition and gets both Singe and Batul with an acid breathe. Singe now has 2 hitpoints.
• Dah'mir then moves next to Dax' Athla and stands over her intimidatingly, as the session ends.

 

Description of Dah'mir's Dragon Form

Dah'mir is huge, his age betrayed by the rusting of his scales making him seem more green than copper. Dragonshards are embedded in his scales at irregular intervals, and a massive Khyber shard is embedded in his chest where his heart should be, easily the equal in size to the one within the Bonetree Mound.
