Medala
Medalashana is an Adaran Kalashtar monk. She grew up alongside her cousin, Kalshana, at the monastery, and was one of those whom she convinced to leave the monastery to do good in the world, alongside Tetkashtai and Virikhad. Medalashana is the oldest of the missionaries, and has become somewhat jaded by the Adarans lack of action towards turning Dal Quor. Unlike the others in the group, she is more melancholy and came along just to ensure that the others didn't get hurt.
After arriving in Zarash'ak, the Kalashtar were met by Dah'mir, who kidnapped them. Some time later, Medalashana allowed Kalshana and Virikhad to escape by teleporting them out of the Bonetree Mound.
When she was forced into her psicrystal, she killed him to reclaim her body. The combined trauma of the concept of eternal imprisonment and murdering a part of herself, her curiosity, broke her.
She later joined Dah'mir's cult, and was given a privileged position in the Bonetree clan. She rarely strayed far from his side, and her personality had turned cruel. She frequently tormented Singe with horrible visions and headaches when they were travelling, and she forcefully extracted secrets from Dandra's head when they were in the Bonetree Mound.
