40. Gathering Light Report

• Warden had the sudden realisation that Terfel had gone to Khyber's Gate alone, so he followed.
• In Malleon's Gate, he ran into a Changeling pretending to be Terfel. He was very nonplussed.
• Terfel arrived at Shamukaar and ordered some Korluaat and Nuun. Yum.
• Warden arrived and received some hungry looks from the patrons in the tavern. He left and turned into a spider, and chilled in Terfel's armour.
• Cavallah arrived, and she was fucking shredded. Her bow is very large, and she has an eyeball in an amulet around her neck.
• Terfel explained what was up, and Cavallah agreed to help, though it wasn't clear what swayed her. She got Terfel to explain (in detail), what Dah'mir can do and how he operates.
• She deployed a unit of Harpy Songbird's to Overlook. They can sing countercharms to combat his influence.
• She also stated she will get her people to watch for them, and will let him know if they see anything.
• Cavallah then handed Terfel some dragon's blood, and explained briefly what it does. She also explains that it's a potent drug, and there is risk of overdose. He can acquire more from Old Stone Eye's in Malleon's Gate.
• Terfel and Warden then went to the Red Hammer in Blackbones, to get Warden repaired and see if they could get any help.
• Blue suggested a shady warforged in the corner might be inclined to get involved in "dangerous trouble", but unlikely.
• Crucible fixed Warden and then superficially scuffed him up.
• After being repaired, Warden approached the shady warforged. Her name was Indigo and she wasn't very nice. Warden had a wee rant at her.
• Kalshana , Geth and Singe went to find Lakashtai and warn her about the danger.
• Strangely, Lakashtai was also going to warn Kalshana about danger. She could sense something in the lower city, and was avoiding it. She could narrow it down to Lower Dura, but wasn't willing to get closer than that. She seemed tense.
• Singe was enamoured by her, but Geth wasn't buying what she was selling.
• Back in Overlook, the group were approached by Melikavash. She'd done a muster call and found that 3 kalashtar were missing: Kirvakri, Erimelk and Munchaned. Munchaned is Nevchaned's son.
• They got the Enlightened Havakhad to scry on Munchaned. He's unconscious somewhere, lying on a pile of corpses, on sand. The other two kalashtar were in the pile, as well as a human and a dwarf.
• Munchaned was also wearing a distinctive golden bracer, with copper wiring. It had two slots, one of which contained a blue-black dragonshard and the other, his psicrystal.
• Kalshana cast Sending to warn Terfel about this.
• Terfel and Warden attempted to get Blinky to accept Terfel as a rider. It didn't go super well, but no one was bitten!
• They all regrouped in Overlook, and Dax painted Terfel's shield.
• They sleep.

• Natrac still hasn't returned, so they get Havakhad to scry on him.
• Wherever he is, it's pitch black. Very dark.
• Kalshana casts sending, and Natrac responds that he's in a scrape, not to worry. Vennet's in Malleon's Gate, and has hired a gang to kidnap Kalashtar tonight. He hasn't seen Dah'mir.
• Hmm, sus.
• Terfel decides to go down to Malleon's Gate, invisible. He's gonna check in at Old Stone Eye's.
• Kalshana casts sending and taunts Vennet, calling him a shit. Vennet responds "Oooh a bit of roleplaying, that's unusual for you"
