43. Putting Down Roots Report

General Summary

17th Nymm, 998

• The party is informed about a potential job from Lhara, to recover an artifact from the Frostfell. They say they're interested but want a break.
• Ashi leaves to join House Deneith, and learn about her family.
• Singe also goes to clear his name with House Deneith.
• Dandra, Medala and Geth go with the party to New Cyre. Geth has something he feels like he needs to do after they get there, and will be leaving for a time.

On The Road

• Dax' Athla asks Terfel Glas to teach her Goblin. Warden also learns. They are traveling, so only learn speech, not writing/reading.
• Terfel also gambles when they stop in town, and ends up 10 gp in debt to someone in Wroat.

17th Barrakas, 998 YK

• They return to New Cyre, and Oargev ir'Wynarn pays them what he owes them.
• The Mist Walkers become an Independent organisation, and go to claim a ruined Dhakaani Fort to set up base in.
• Terfel retires from adventuring to represent Oargev in the Covenant of the Grey Mist.

They set up base in a Ruined Dhakaani Fort in the Seawall Mountains, roughly a day from New Cyre. They spend the rest of Barrakas setting up in the ruined fort and building the upgrades. They spend their initial salvage on a Library, Stable, and Training Room.   Downtime begins on the 1st Rhaan, 998 and lasts for 13 weeks.

• Terfel trains for 10 weeks to get proficiency with Cook's Utensils, and 2 weeks pit fighting. He spends the last week settling into his new role as Oargev's Spymaster.
• Kalshana trains for 9 weeks to get proficiency with Jeweller's Kit. She spends 1 week carousing and makes 2 friends, but her max is 1 so she ghosts one of them. She spends 1 week pit fighting, and another 2 weeks carousing. In this time, she makes a hostile contact and everyone in New Cyre starts calling her Bowl Cut without explanation.
• Dax spends 1 week finishing learning Goblin, 7 weeks learning Woodcarving, and 5 weeks pit fighting.
• Warden spends 3 weeks finishing learning goblin, and 9 week's on Stone Masonry. He then spends 1 week pit fighting.
• Terfel gets everyone a gift. For Warden, he gets a book on Cyran Flora. For Dax, he gets a nice leather knife sheathe. For Kal, he gets Beezlebop Mit Divandi to come to the base and give her a massage.
• Terfel divvies out his magic items to the others, leaving Shura at the base.
• They leave the Codex Anathema in their library, hidden in a box.
