69. The Third Protocol Report

General Summary

13th Nymm, 999 YK

• The party arrive back at Salvation, and decide to put Warden in the back of the wagon, repeating "Third Protocol Activated" to disguise the Oracle of War.
• They are not going to sell the Oracle, they're going to keep it.
• They take the Silk Arrows to Belaluur and receive their payment, 150gp each.
• They also talk to Irullan Karnach for the first time, noticing that she has a lot of guards around her.
• Kalshana tries to drum up conversation with one of the guards, named Snap.
• They retrieve their salvage from Belaluur, and spend some time loading it back up to the wagon.
• As they finish loading up the wagon, they hear a commotion from the direction of the lightning rail station, and a thunderous voice rings out across the outpost.
• "People of Salvation! My name is Saal Dreadstroke. I have a simple proposition for you. Bring me the device known as the Oracle of War, and no one else needs to get hurt. Defy me and you will all die. Every ten minutes, one of my colleagues will execute someone from this outpost. If you have the Oracle, I suggest you step forward and let yourself be known."
• Dax' Athla goes invisible, and Warden becomes a fox, to find out what's happening.
• They see people fleeing from the lightning rail station, and six figures standing on the platform. A half-orc wearing a leather duster and covered in tattoos, an elven woman in leather armour with black face paint, a full plated warrior, a snarling gnoll, an iron cobra, and a ferocious orc wearing bladed shields. The half-orc gave a nod and the other five spread out to search Salvation.
• The party engaged the gnoll first, and while they were fighting her, the helmed warrior descended upon them.
• The gnoll was probably the less threatening opponent, as the armoured figure seemed to be immune to a lot of spells.
• They manage to get both the gnoll and the armour down, killing both of them. 
• Dax uses Haste on Lozaal. Lozaal is really scary with Haste.
• Using their speed, the party sprint across Salvation and engage the orc. They basically burst her down in one round, though she does manage to hit Lozaal a couple times.
• Dax goes to check on the building that the orc emerged from. The orc drowned the blacksmith in the quenching bucket. Fuck these guys.
• They rush over to First Avenue, and see the iron cobra slither out of a window.
