Strange Fruit Report

General Summary

The party finds themselves in a very strange jungle valley deep beneath Allgringthveit. The trees and flora seem unfamiliar and the party doesn't have to travel far before it encounters a group of large 2-legged lizard creatures. Using a spell Mehmen Ashid is able to talk to the creatures and convince them that the party is not their next meal. In fact, they could make the creatures very sick!   Having avoided becoming something's breakfast the party heads for a large rock in the distance. In trying to reconnoitre the top of the rock Cookie finds herself menaced by a large flying creature. Undeterred Thomas Marchant, Marble and Mehmen make their way to the top of the rock where the witness some large creatures fighting to the death across a nearby lake. They are also swooped down upon by a very large flying creature and retreat to the safety of a nook in the rock discovered by Alok Ravaralei and Badalona Ailendogs. There the party rests, banishing the last of Alok and Badalona's exhaustion.    While they rest, Mehmen scouts ahead and finds himself in an area of the jungle with a strong, fruity smell. Not feeling good about this he returns to the group who, nevertheless, head to the same spot on their pathway to a temple-like structure they have spotted in the distance. Even though they proceed with caution, Alok soon finds himself overcome by the smell and rushes towards a strange pool where he is immediately attacked by several sets of tentacles.    In danger once again Alok is being pulled into the maw of some plant, masquerading as a quiet jungle pool. The rest of the heroes run to his rescue. In doing so most are overcome at some stage or another by the smell and when Alok and Thomas find themselves drinking the water they also fall into a deep slumber.   The battle against the huge plant swings back and forth. At various stages Alok, Badalona, and Thomas find themselves pulled into the plant's stomach. All but Thomas manage to escape and the grasping tendrils are all hacked away. As the last of its tendrils disappear the plant begins to burrow beneath the earth , Thomas still inside...
