Session 40: Prophecies and Pursuit

General Summary

The party spent the night in Eld Tereth, using the poker chips to return the Damariens from the Windward Serpent to their home. The following morning, the party headed back to Eleth Telnara with Saurivess, meeting Maskir and some members of the Delirium Travelling Troupe as the troupe was headed to Eld Tereth. Pleased to find the threat against the troupe and the Damariens was ended, Saurivess offered to tell everyone's fortunes, doing so in private in the group's wagon. Doug tried to sneak into the wagon, only to find himself magically blinded.   To Shadow, Saurivess said, "A flame draws you in. Follow it; it will give you truth and expose answers long sought after".   Eirame was told that "There is power that you can achieve if you can pierce the green veil".   Saurivess prophesied about Alden that "The desert sands will rise, and you will have a part to play in what follows." Eirame, on hearing "the desert sands will rise", recalls the Sandsower War.   To Doug, she said, "There is greatness in store for you, and someday others in this land will tell YOUR story."   The party followed Maskir back to Eleth Telnara, returning the wagon. Maskir and the group parted, with Maskir offering the party any support or favours they could grant, should their paths cross again. Heading to the Moon Tree, the party requested an audience with Regent Tevara Shariel. The party gave her and her councilors an overview of their actions and the end of the standoff against the Lord of Storms' army, though they didn't reveal Elios' identity and claimed that his body was burnt when they lit the fortress on fire. Pleased with their actions, she gave the party 2,500 gp each, and wrote a letter of introduction for them to Bael Donaz, one of the four dwarven councilors , leaders of the Nation of Girimbor.   The party went to the tram station, but it was late enough in the day that they'd missed the last tram to Dun Girimbor. Seeing a number of Hexalian Order members in the tram station, the party opted to stay in the Windward Serpent, departing from an alley.   The following morning, the party returned to Eleth Telnara shortly before the tram's departure, finding Inquisitor Verjat and some Order knights waiting for them. The Inquisitor demanded they return with him to Eleth Lilanor, to stand trial for killing temple guards or aiding those who did. The party attacked, leaving the group unconscious and boarding the tram.
