What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Content Tree Items currently allow descriptions to be added as subtext below the item title, but BBCodes are not recognized within the text. If the grey default text is unsuitable to the background image, it cannot be easily changed. Likewise, breaks cannot be added to cause text to appear on multiple lines.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Allowing break and color/style codes to be embedded in the Description text would address these limitations.
What are other uses for this feature request?
All the usual abilities to format text in main articles would follow on with this request. Any frustrations others have encountered with their own styling that could be addressed by allowing BBCode parsing would be resolved by this request.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! This is declined due to the lack of interest in relation to the weight on the system this would have. While content trees in static list format wouldn't cause issues, a content tree in interactive form would be very heavy on the database, as each item in the tree is parsed separately. If you had a tree with 100 items, this would be like loading 100 articles at once.
