I'm actually just resurrecting this declined suggestion from a few years ago!
I think the OP Krystalyn described the idea very well there, but I'll add my two cents.
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
As the "Referenced In..." lists in the editor are automatically updated whenever one article mentions another, would it be feasible to add that to the public view? As it is now, if we want to show where else an article's subject is mentioned, we have to manually compose and maintain these lists in the articles as things change and new articles are added. This gets overwhelming fast. It would be so nice if we could have an option to add that Referenced In... list. This would give more narrative context to the subject of the article, show how involved they/it are/is in the world, and encourage readers to keep exploring.How does this feature request address the current situation?

Thanks for the suggestion! While we can see its usefulness, we have to decline it for technical reasons. The "Referenced in" feature causes very high database load (which is why it's kind of "hidden" and only activates after clicking a button). Having it on a public article could potentially crash the page when loading the list. As an alternative, I suggest using tags, which can also generate lists: https://www.worldanvil.com/learn/bbcode-tutorials/tagged-lists
