conversion currency calendars math numbers tables
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, there's no way to add any kind of interactable math equations in our worlds. For complex worldbuilding, a culture's calendar might have different meaasures of time, different civilizations might use different currencies, or maybe you just want your tabletop players to stop asking you how many copper pieces there are in a gold piece. But sometimes these worldbuilding features can be a lot to expect casual fans to dedicate to memory.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
A feature where the world creator could create simple equations in tables would solve the vast majority of conversion problems (time, money, measurement, etc.)
My suggestion is that visitors would find interactable tables like these:
By typing a number in the "Input" text box, the number would run through the formula (which could be visible to viewers or hidden, whichever is easiest to code) and would be spit out in the "Output" box (perhaps automatically, perhaps after pressing a "calculate" button)
I think this would really allow fans and players to better understand the currencies, timelines, and other details of a world without having to remember if ten Globalized Xargons was closer to the price of a microwave burrito or the price of new car.
What are other uses for this feature request?
This could be used to calculate all sorts of things, such as the relative age of characters who age at different rates (like elves or gods), percentages of task completion, or even used on private pages by GMs to calculate the difficulty of an encounter if their game system has things like CR-ratings.
